CPBS: Total Defence (Sliver & Gold)

Attention to all Year 3s and 4s:

Those who failed the Total Defence (Sliver) module last year:

Re-do the field trip reflections based on the field trip went last year. Deadline is 27 January 2012. Hand in your work to CPL Qian Qian before CCA session starts.


Those who passed the Total Defence (Sliver) module last year:

We will be starting on Total Defence (Gold) module soon, as part of the passing requirements, you will need to clock 30 hours of CIP over a period of 6 months.

Below is a list of recommendations:

Thus, please start clocking the hours and go sign up for CIPs you encountered. Completing Total Defence (Gold) is a MUST to attaining the very prestigious Chief Commissioner's Badge.

As you might be thinking, how does doing CIPs related to Total Defence?

"Community service (CIP) encourages individuals to care for and look out for one
another within the community; hence, doing community service demonstrates participation in Total Defence."

Besides, doing CIP is a good way to give back to the society, so do your part now! :)

RVSJ CIP 2012

Dear all,

Do take note that there is an official RVSJAB CIP on 14th January 2012 (upcoming Saturday), from 9am to about 6pm. Venue would be at the same place as the previous block-party CIP, opposite RVHS at Block 693. More details will be given at a later date.

Everyone is to attend this CIP which you should have prepared for, unless you have valid reasons.

  • Swimming Certificate if you have attained at least sliver/ Intermediate level
  • Martial Arts Certificate if you have attained at least a 4th grade level equivalent of the particular martial arts
  • Musician Certificate if you have attained a pass in ABRSM Grade III or higher for both theory and practical examination
  • Outward bound certificate if you had attended the course before
