Excuse letter format and achievement badges criteria

Dear all,

This is a sample of the excuse letter you are supposed to have. This has been emailed to your main-co this word document already. Please get it from them if you have not.

 
 
Some have also expressed interest over some badges, so here are the criterias if you are not sure:
 
CHIEF COMMISSIONER’S BADGE
The Chief Commissioner’s badge is the highest award that a cadet can achieve under the Cadet Proficiency Badge Scheme.

To qualify for the Chief Commissioner’s Badge, the cadet must fulfill the following requirements:
Qualifying Level: Secondary Three (March)
To obtain 12 badges from the following:
1. Knowledge of the Order of St John (KSJ/408) – Compulsory Badge
2. Total Defence (TDF/110) – Compulsory Badge (Bronze, Silver AND Gold)
3. At least 2 badges from Group 1 (excluding TDF/110)
4. At least 2 badges from Group 2
5. At least 2 badges from Group 3
6. At least 2 badges from Group 4 (excluding KSJ/408)

COMMISSIONER’S BADGE
To qualify for the Commissioner’s Badge, the cadet must fulfill the following requirements:
Qualifying Level: Secondary Two (June)
To obtain 6 badges from the following:
1. Knowledge of the Order of St John (KSJ/408) – Compulsory badge
2. Total Defence Silver Certificate
3. At least one badge from Group 1
4. At least one badge from Group 2
5. At least one badge from Group 3
6. At least one badge from Group 4 (excluding KSJ/408)

UNICORN BADGE
The Unicorn is a horse like animal that symbolises the logo of St. John
Ambulance Brigade.
Cadets who have obtained 4 proficiency badges each from the four groups
(excluding the "Knowledge of the order of St. John" badge) and the National
Activity badge will be awarded the Unicorn badge.

NATIONAL ACTIVITY BADGE
In order to qualify for the National Activity Badge, the cadet must participate in
any of the following events:
1. National Day Parade (NDP)
2. Singapore Youth Festival (SYF)
3. National Camp organised by MOE or SJAB HQ
4. National First Aid Competition
5. Any SJAB events organised at HQ level and approved by the Chief Commissioner in writing.
6. Represented Singapore-SJAB in regional or international first aid competitions, subject to approval by the Chief Commissioner.
Points to Note:
1. Participants in NDP / SYF must be representing SJAB in the marching contingent and have attained 80% attendance and have marched on the actual day of the parade, in order to qualify for the badge.
2. Participants in the National First Aid Competition must be a competitor or reserved member of a team, in order to qualify for the badge. Stewards are not entitled for this badge.

Details:

Reporting Time: 7am outside SJAB Room

Important points to take note:
Cadets who are going for competition training later in the afternoon your duty will be from 7am-1pm
Cadets who are not going for competition training your duty will be from 7am-11am. Please report to the SJAB room when your shift ends and leave the first aid kits at the bases. Further details will be given out tomorrow morning.
All your bags will be locked up in the SJAB room.
