Information for NCO Course 2011 and administrative matters

Dear all,

Kindly take note of the following :

1. NCO Course 2011

The information for NCO Course 2011 is out. The course fee for NCO Course will be $40 and participants of the NCO course 2011 are required to submit the course fee during the next official cca session(which will most likely be ROD). Cadets need to achieve 100% attendance during the period of course.

For those who need to book out during the course due to various reasons, the admin department will get back to you if you will still be able to achieve 100% attendance if you book out. If you need to book out, kindly indicate in your email reply. Also, for participants of the course, i will need your food preference, whether its (muslim, non-muslim or vegeterian) and also your T-shirt size (S/M/L/XL).

Below are the details of the respective camps:

Date: 18 November 2011 - 20 November 2011
Venue: Yuan Ching Secondary School

[Training Camp]
Date: 25 November 2011 - 28 November 2011
Venue: To be confirmed

Packing Lists & Groups allocation will be made known to the cadets via NCO Course portal during the 2nd week of November. Further information & announcements can be found at http://ncoucourse.sjabzone9.org.sg. Also, please do not register yourself for the NCO Course individually. Registration will be done by the admin department for all of you.

2. Administrative Matters

Also, if you will be going overseas during the holidays, please prepare an excuse letter (saying that you will be overseas during this period of time and asking to excuse yourself from any cca activities during this period) and hand the hard copy to the admin department by the next cca session before first parade. After you come back from your overseas trip, please hand in a photocopy of your passport to certify that you were overseas. If you cannot pass the hard copy to the admin department before you go overseas, then please send a soft copy of your excuse letter before you go overseas. After you come back from your overseas trip, please hand in the hard copy of the excuse letter, and also a photocopy of your passport. All hard copies of the excuse letters are to be in before first parade during the next official cca session.

In conclusion, by next monday, 31st October 2359h, I need your reply through email
1. if you are attending NCO course (indicate whether its BNCO or ANCO if you are attending)
2. if you are booking out during the NCO course and the date and time you need to book out
3. your food preference (muslim/non-muslim/vegetarian)4. your T-shirt size (S/M/L/XL)

Also, by the next official cca session, I need you all to
1. bring $40, which is your NCO course course fee
2. hand in your hard copy of your excuse letter if your are going overseas during the vacation.

Admin Department

ROD 2011

Dear all,

Do take note that the event ROD 2011 will be postponed to 4th November 2011, Friday.

Reporting time for first parade for all year ones and twos would be at 8.30am at design court, and 08.40am for year fours at LT2. Event would be until about 6.00pm for everyone. Please report for first parade in your PT kit, with dark colored shirts. If possible, standardize the shirt that you all would be wearing. More details will be posted up soon.

Announcements

Announcements :

1. In order to standardize all excuse letters submitted to the admin department, we have come up with a template for excuse letters (as shown below):



For future excuse letters that you submit, please follow this template. Remember that all excuse letter have to be typewritten, in a4 size and with your parents signature. If you are sick on a certain cca session, please submit your excuse letter, with your medical certificate attached behind and submit it to the admin department.

2. With effect from 21st October 2011, all future medical certificates (which account for absence from cca) has to be handed within one week of the cadet's absence or the cadet would be "absent without valid reason" for that cca session.


Reminder : Please bear all the announcements made during the parade today in mind. If you are going to be absent for a certain cca, please inform the respective people (i.e. cca leaders or platoon commanders) beforehand and remember to keep the admin department updated about your contact details.
